Why we do it

Automotive dealers and their personnel have for many years been selling and managing customers, in the traditional, staid manner, despite the fact that the industry has changed beyond recognition in recent times.  

 

Whilst not 100% in agreement with David Lewis' philosophy (in the video below), his core observation is correct.  We have changed little, but customers have changed a lot and subsequently our results have stagnated at best.

  • Customer visits to the showroom are now more predictable 
  • Research shows that by the time customers arrive at a car showroom they've near enough made their mind up to buy the vehicle of interest 
  • Google's own research revealed that 50% of customers will buy if they just get a good presentation and demonstration
  • Financial / economic issues, coupled with being environmentally friendly are the most popular buying motives today

 

Customers are now better informed and have all the tools available, to make informed decisions before visiting a dealer.
